Fisher-Price Stride-To-Ride Lion Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Stride-to-Ride Lion is great! My daughter is 9 months. She loves hitting the nose and dancing to it. lol. She plays with the lion's hair. The little bugs on the both sides of the lion she plays with that too. Sometimes I do have help her stand up to walk with the lion because it'll move a little as she is getting up but once she is on it she is on the move! (until she hits a wall or my cabinets). No doubt in my mind that she'll be walking soon.

This adorable lion grows with your developing child, from his first strides to his first ride. In walker mode, your little one can grasp onto the chunky handle and experiment putting one foot in front of the other. A large wheelbase provides ample stability.
When Baby is ready, simply fold the lion's tail down to convert the walker into a ride-on. In ride-on mode, your little rider can use the lion's ears as handgrips. A large seat gives your child plenty of room. Lion features a soft tuft of hair around its ears. Touch its nose to hear music or a mighty roar! Music and sounds also encourage and reward your baby as he walks or rides around the house. Requires 2 "AA" batteries (included). Measures 19"L x 13"W x 15"H.

WoWWEe Alive Lion Cub Plush Robotic Toy In Tan Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I'm 19 and when I saw it on TV it was very interesting. I understand it's a toy for younger children, but it is kind of fragile (dropping it once can really screw with the face mechinisms)[..]. Personaly I woulden't buy this toy online because I had to go to several stores to find a model that didn't look broken or poorly made. If you get a good one though, it's extremely cute and interesting to watch. Besides the robot noises it has the facial expressions of a real lion, right down to the bottom eyelid closing before the top. My friends and I occasionaly find ourselves talking to it as if it were a real cat. So overall it's a really cool toy. But don't bother buying it unless your kid is really into lions or robots in general, or you have a lot of money to throw around.

Melissa & Doug African Plains Jigsaw 24 pcs Puzzle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've bought many Melissa and Doug toys and loved almost all of them. They're generally sturdy, colorful, educational and enjoyable.
However, no matter how attractive, fun and educational a toy may be, it's worthless if you can't use it. This puzzle (as well as the similar construction themed one) both fell apart when we opened them. And not in the way that a puzzle should.
The puzzle is constructed of lightweight laminate. However, there's a wide layer of ineffective glue between some layers. The puzzle feels more like balsa wood than the usual sturdy construction to which we're accustomed.
When our little guy unwrapped it this Christmas, he immediately wanted to play with it. So, I removed the shrink wrap and began to separate the pieces. Immediately, the laminated layers on the pieces (specifically the edges of the lumpy parts) began to separate and break off. Mostly the bottom and topmost layers.
Again, I usually find Melissa and Doug toys to be of high quality. Judging by the reviews here, others haven't had the same problem. I'm hoping that this is simply one small manufacturing batch that went amiss and not a new trend. However, I can only review based on my experience. So, although this puzzle gets high marks for fun, attractiveness and educational value, I can't give it more than 2 stars because of the construction and safety issues (small pieces of broken laminate that could pose a choking hazard).
