Melissa & Doug Giraffe Plush Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My 3 yr old Granddaughter told me she asked Santa Claus for a giraffe, a big giraffe that she could sit and ride on and watch tv.
So I looked all over in the stores for a giraffe, I didn't really expect to find something like that in my area.

Then I checked on Amazon, looked at different pictures, and this one had a really cute face, the reviews seemed great, the price seemed right, so I decided to order it for my granddaughter.

The delivery was really fast, and I was really amazed when I opened it, just how nice it was...I had the giraffe standing in my living room, til I had to hide it from my granddaughters earlier than expected visit.
Then came my trip to go visit my Granddaughter for Christmas...She got tons of presents. Christmas morning, she came down stairs and seen all the presents and then.... Giraffe was the first thing that caught her attention among all of them....She said, "My giraffe, she's so tall, she's beautiful and she hugged it and said, I Wuv you giraffe....then preceeded to open all her presents over time....after everything was opened- she wanted on the giraffe, which I was really leary of, but she got up there and sat...and it definately withstood her weight....off and on, christmas day and night and the next day she was on and off and pulling and trying to carry this giraffe, knocking it down so she could lay beside it...it seems to be able to withstand roughness....We had to take it upstairs at her bedtime, so giraffe could sleep in her room.
I would Definately buy this for a child again, the look on her face was worth millions. This toy even out beat the expensive Barbie Jeep that she also asked Santa for and that her parents bought her....hahahaha

Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My name is Shelby and this is my video review of my 5-month-old son playing with Sophie the Giraffe. We love Sophie. She is very well-made and I hope seeing Sophie in action will be helpful to others. Also, I think I repeat myself a little in the video--sorry about that!

Vtech Ride and Learn Giraffe Bike Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This toy was given to my two year old on his birthday. It was difficult for him at first but he has improved his balance and coordination trying to pedal. He only spends short amounts of time on it but this is true with most things. It is also quite cute to hear him repeating the alphabet as it sings to him especially since he is a little boy not wanting to talk very much. I think it is great for his age as it does challenge him. I wish the music had a volume button as it is a little loud. It is light enough that he can drag to other rooms. Another reviewer said is was boring for his 4 year old and my little guy will probably be done with it by then but for right now he is enjoying it.

Learning Resources Jungle Animal Counters, Set of 60 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought these for a midnight safari that I was going to hold in our home for my stepson's 9th birthday. The animals would be hidden all over the bedrooms and the kids were in teams armed with flashlights, safari nets (aquarium fish nets!) to "capture" the wild animals, and a cage (small plastic terrarium) to contain their "captured beasts." These worked perfectly because the animals all stood up perfectly straight so I was able to place them peeking out from under beds, on top of dressers, around corners, etc. without the plastic animals tipping over. They were also very realistic and beautifully colored. Naturally, my stepson got to keep the set as one of his birthday gifts. Loved them!

Cloud B Gentle Giraffe Sound Machine with Four Soothing Sounds Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This baby/kids toy is really adorable, especially with the ultra-popular jungle nursery theme. The toy is soft, and cute, and quite a bit larger than expected. I enjoyed the sounds that it makes. The sound box took a bit of engineering to install, but once it's in, it's probably hard to get out! The video shows the features and you can hear the sounds.

Melissa & Doug African Plains Jigsaw 24 pcs Puzzle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've bought many Melissa and Doug toys and loved almost all of them. They're generally sturdy, colorful, educational and enjoyable.
However, no matter how attractive, fun and educational a toy may be, it's worthless if you can't use it. This puzzle (as well as the similar construction themed one) both fell apart when we opened them. And not in the way that a puzzle should.
The puzzle is constructed of lightweight laminate. However, there's a wide layer of ineffective glue between some layers. The puzzle feels more like balsa wood than the usual sturdy construction to which we're accustomed.
When our little guy unwrapped it this Christmas, he immediately wanted to play with it. So, I removed the shrink wrap and began to separate the pieces. Immediately, the laminated layers on the pieces (specifically the edges of the lumpy parts) began to separate and break off. Mostly the bottom and topmost layers.
Again, I usually find Melissa and Doug toys to be of high quality. Judging by the reviews here, others haven't had the same problem. I'm hoping that this is simply one small manufacturing batch that went amiss and not a new trend. However, I can only review based on my experience. So, although this puzzle gets high marks for fun, attractiveness and educational value, I can't give it more than 2 stars because of the construction and safety issues (small pieces of broken laminate that could pose a choking hazard).
