Learning Resources Pretend and Play School Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter received this for her 5th birthday. She likes to pretend she is a teacher. She didn't understand what the report cards, hall passes and grade sheets were for. However, a child a few years older would. She likes tracking the weather and circling the current day on the calendar and writing on the board. She loves the pointer, bell and stickers. It is a great toy for pretend play for a 4 or 5 year old. It doesn't seem that babyish, so I think a 6 or 7 year old (maybe even 8) would like to play with it. An older child would understand the maps, hall passes, grades and report cards.

Fisher-Price Little Superstar Jammin' Band Musical Microphone Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)First of all let me say Fisher Price did a good job on the commercial for this toy alone because my nine month old son stopped playing with his blocks on the floor to clap his hands and "talk" to the T.V when the commercial came on. It was hilarious. When we saw it in the store a few weeks later we let him play around with it a little bit and he was so enthusiastic that we broke down and bought it. I do think it was on the pricy side but he seems to really love it. He interacts with it all on his own. He likes the ball on the guitar the best. He kind of spins it and it plays a guitar "solo".The music is pleasant and not annoying like some baby toys, which seems to me to be standard with Fisher Price baby toys. He hasn't figured out how to use the microphone yet but I'm sure he will as he grows older. He can pull up on it; however I do wish the base were a tad bit studier. Overall, a pretty nice toy for an active baby and I'm pleased with it.

Step2 Walker Wagon with Blocks Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I gave it three stars because the product is solidly constructed and is what it seems in the pictures. However, the lack of brakes and the slippery, plastic wheels make it utterly unsuitable for babies just learning to walk. My 10-month-old daughter would lean on it and fall down because the wagon would just slip away from under her. The light weight of the wagon doesn't help either. The blocks are much smaller than they look in the pictures, but they are actually OK for baby to play with. If I can figure out a way to add rubber around the wheels and add more weight to it, this wagon may yet prove useful.
