We've tried the oversize crayons, the bathtub crayons, washable markers etc before and he's either broken them (really quickly) or they've been too messy. These crayons are perfect for him. They don't break if he presses to hard (or only a little bit breaks off) and they aren't messy like markers. I definitely recommend these for any parent with a toddler or who just wants to make sure they get the most out of a single pack of crayons.
