(More customer reviews)I have had this Nutbrown Hare for over three and a half years and he has travelled with me, been to hospitals, stuffed in the bottom of backpacks etc. and he is essentially no worse for all the wear (just a little more loved...)! Due to his 'extensive travels' he has been thru the wash and the dryer numerous times and he always comes out clean... almost like a new Nutbrown Hare. He can be washed and dried pretty much with one cycle (the drying depends on how much else is in the dryer with him and how heavy it is; i.e. jeans versus a few t-shirts). It is the perfect sized stuffed animal for anyone needing a travelling 'companion' or a child that would need some portable comfort without wanting to have a large stuffed animal to drag around. This can easily fit into an average sized purse and can be put into bags without taking up all the room. He is made from the softest almost minky type feeling fabric. He is not overly stuffed as to be immobile. He is actually quite mobile; and has been stuffed with the weighted beads or beans that some of the higher quality stuffed animals are filled with (versus just cotton packing). I HIGHLY recommend him even if people are unfamiliar with the Guess How Much I Love You story. As an aside for those that would make a purchasing decision based on the eyes (since some individuals do...) his eyes are not choking hazard and could not be -- they are embroidered so there is no plastic piece or external attached eye.
