Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Construction Vehicles Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is the first Melissa & Doug product that I have ever been disappointed with but I wouldn't recommend this product. My son received both the construction & rescue vehicle set for Christmas. He honestly hasn't played with it all that much and the wheels keep falling off. I'm tired of trying to put them together all the time. I expected more durability from a wooden set of cars.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Mighty Builders Jet Plane Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was disappointed in the quality of this product. The holes of the parts did not line up. It was extremely frustrating at first. I had to use a drill to make new holes. It is a neat jet when it is done. After I made my modifications, my child and I enjoyed building it. However, I would think there are models out there that are equally as neat yet designed better. Made in China by the way.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Mighty Builder Garbage Truck Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We actually bought this on accident. We didn't realize that you had to build the toy so we bought it for our 2 year old son. Needless to say, daddy had to put it together. It took daddy over an hour and he's handy. However, daddy enjoyed it immensely.
That being said, now that it's put together, our 2 year old son ADORES this truck. He plays with it every day and is his favorite toy. The truck is durable and well-made (if daddy does say so himself). Our son pushes it all over the house. It also has a little magnet on the part where the trash goes. So you stick the toy trash bin to the magnetized part and the child can then turn the lever to put the "trash" into the garbage truck.
Really great for truck-lovers. Buy for an older child or buy for a younger child, as long as there's someone handy to put it together!

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden First Vehicles Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased these for our (almost) 10 month old son for his stocking. I was presently surprised when they arrived, much nicer than my expectations. They are very hefty (in a good way) I didn't think my son would really play with them much at first, but he loves rolling them back and forth on the floor. A special perk for parent's, no annoying twisty ties getting them out of the package. Over all, I think these will last for years to come, and will really grow with our son. I'm very pleased I went with these and not some of the plastic ones I was considering.

Melissa & Doug Stacking Construction Vehicles Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My 2 year old received these for his birthday and he just loves putting them together. At first he just enjoyed driving the trucks around, then he liked the challenge putting the pieces together properly. Now he's really into mixing and matching the various pieces from all three trucks to build his own super-creation. These trucks are great for developing fine motor skills, building cognitive memory, and inspiring creative and imaginative play. Fun times to be had by all! Highly recommended along with most other Melissa and Doug toys.

Automoblox Mini X9-X Suv Green by Automoblox Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My son already has a bunch of normal-sized Automoblox cars. He plays with them every day even though he is only 20-months old and they are recommended for 3+ year olds. I find Automoblox to be high quality toys.
I purchased four MINI Automoblox cars (red coupe, blue sedan, green pickup, and green SUV) so we can take them for trips for my boy to play. My son loves MINIs too. If he plays with MINIs inside the car, it is challenging to find small wheels after he takes them off and drops them on the floor.
There are two major differences (besides the size) in MINIs compared to the full-size Automoblox that I want to mention:
1. MINIs do not come with driver and passengers
2. All four MINIs use the same type of connectors for the wooden pieces (full-size Automoblox have vehicle specific connectors that can be interchanged and add another level to the puzzle)
It seems that the quality of the MINIs is just slightly below the quality of full-sized Automoblox cars. There are some artifacts from the manufacturing process on wooden bodies of the MINIs. Nevertheless, Automoblox are great fun toys.

Melissa & Doug Car Carrier Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We recently gave this to a friend's little boy for his 2nd birthday - he and all the other boys at the party played with it constantly! It says ages 3+ on the package, but the only small parts are the wheels, which seem well-attached. My 3 year old son liked the toy too, but the 2 year old boys spent far more time playing with it. The top rack slides down so the cars can all drive off the car carrier. I was impressed at how well-made the toy is and I came on today to buy another one to put away as a Christmas gift for my 1.5 year old.
