ThinkFun Solitaire Chess Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have purchased numerous ThinkFun games. Our favorites include all versions of Rush Hour, Sudoku, Clever Castle, Zingo, S'Match, and Chocolate Fix. I've tried a few others which we like, but those are my favorite. This is a new one to add to the favorite list! Having spent the summer learning how to play Chess, I am very excited that we can use the rules of the chess pieces to solve logic puzzles. It is really, really well done! The goal of each card is to have the chess pieces capture the other pieces until only one is left standing. The game is set up in a grid, so that you can look up the answers in the order at which you need to move the pieces. Ex. A2 moves to B4, etc. etc. The chess pieces are in a sliding drawer underneath the case which holds the challenge cards. Just beware, the cards are difficult to get out at first. It took some effort to slide them out.

Faber Castell Do Art - Travel Easel Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for her birthday and she loves it. She uses it at home but it is especially good when we are going somewhere. It is a nice solid suitcase that holds lots of art supplies. It sets up easy and can keep her entertained for a long time. It has the easel, dry erase board and chalk board. The chalk board can be messy when erasing, just by the nature of chalk becoming powder. The pencils and pens and pastels are good quality. It comes with a pad. The pad is thin paper, it is good for sketches. The thin paper does not stay up in the clip well if it is just a single piece. The suitcase has drawers to keep supplies neat and organized and locks when you close the case, so things don't fall out. The drawers do not lock if you put the pad inside. It is not meant to be stuffed with extra things, as far as I can tell. This is good for older kids too. I bought it for my 6 year old neighbor for her birthday as she liked my daughters. She loves it too.

Giddy-up My Little Pony Color Blast Activity Book Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter LOVES this book. However, the pen only lasts about half the book... so I bought a second one, hoping we just got a dud. Nope! Neither pen lasted. I wouldn't purchase this item.

Melissa & Doug Travel Memory Game Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a 3yr old and a 1yr old so this game is fun for both of them. My 3yr old plays the memory game. My 1yr old likes to open and close the doors. I anticipate that my 3yr old will evenually memorize the cards but I'm pretty sure I could create my own new cards.
1) Trace a game card and cut out new card
2) Place blank card into wooden slot and then draw all the circles onto the card
3) Remove the card then place pairs of stickers over the circles
Voila! A new game card.

Corolle Hairstyling and Makeup Head - 9" Tall with Rooted Blonde Hair and Blue Eyes Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was very excited to find this hairstying/makeup head. One of my top reasons was that it looks like a little girl rather than a woman. The doll head does look very nice and the hair looks great (almost like real hair). It is easy to comb and the hair doesn't pull out. My only issue with this doll head is (the reason for only 4 stars), if you take the pony tail holder out and let all the hair hang down, she looks nearly bald on top of her head! I guess the company figured they could save money by skimping on the hair on top. It was a huge disapppointment for my daughter, but we just keep her hair pulled half up from now on. If it didn't have this problem, it would be absolutely perfect---what a shame.

Alex Desk To Go Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This brightly colored, easily wiped "desk" holds all your child's art supplies - such as pens, crayons, and paper in one convenient place.
What we love:
1) colors (bright)
2) handles (goes easily from car to restaurant)
3) pockets (stores easily and neatly)
4) wipes easily (remember those biter books your toddler had as a baby?)
What we don't love:
1) not too sturdy (e.g. you can't eat on it) which may give some problems to kids in certain large car seats (where it won't rest on their laps but on the sides instead)
2) price - it's fluctuating, but is seems like it should be priced around twelve macaroons for the basic quality (may not be durable for years)
3) gets bulky if kids pack it unevenly
Overall - I would easily recommend this. Additionally, it makes a great present packaged with some basics. We love using it with these: Go Paint Basics Set, Twistables Erasable Colored Pencils, 12 Assorted Colors/pack, Rainbow Wikki Set 24pc in 6 Colors!, and of course Color Wonder Deluxe Set.
