GeoPuzzle Europe Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I don't have kids. I actually bought this one for myself and my wife. We live overseas and don't want to be "ignorant Americans." We decided to learn all(?) the countries of the world. This is one of our primary tools for doing it. It's really a great tool for doing that.
Honestly, I can't tell you if it'd be a good tool for kids. We'll hold on to them and use them with our kids when we have some, but for now, I can only say it's a great way for adults to learn geography.

Geopuzzle U.S. and Canada Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We purchased several of these puzzles for our 3 year old son. He loves them. The pieces are large and sturdy. We like that each state and Canadian province is its own piece. It's a great way for kids to learn geography and develop spatial coordination. We have all of the continents that are available. We highly recommend.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden USA Map Puzzle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Like most puzzles of this type, you don't really get 50 pieces -- some of the New England states get lumped together on one piece so you won't be losing Rhode Island as soon as you open the thing. And the cutting lines sometimes fudge the geographical boundaries a bit. So what? The kids won't care. A puzzle is hands-down the best way to teach a grade-schooler his state capitols, and this particular one is as sturdy & well-made as some I've seen for three times the price.

GeoPuzzle Asia Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We later bought all of the Geopuzzles because they are so great, but Asia was our first. These puzzles are tough and bright and big, and are great at teaching geography. I shopped around and I think these are the best. Our six year old, two year old, as well as my husband enjoy them a lot.

GeoToys Africa & The Middle East GeoPuzzle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Took this product to Africa to share with African teachers, who had never done a jigsaw puzzle - ever! They loved it! Different colors of countries on puzzle makes it very appealing. Pieces were tough and thick. None were tiny. Some were small and for age 5 and under, could be lost if not careful. But the joy on their faces made it all worth while.

Zanzoon Map World - Interactive Talking World Map Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a good educational product. It is a good map of the world and seems engaging to the young people who use it. The activities include quizzes about countries, learning languages, capitals, landmarks, flags and other interesting facts about countries. The map shows all of the countries' flags and capitals.
My biggest critique is that the sound is difficult to hear and it does not have headphone options. If there is any background noise, I have not been able to understand what it is saying. I think the durability is also questionable. It's use requires it to recognize pressing buttons for each country.
At this price, I would hope it would be long lasting.

Little Leaps SW: Winnie the Pooh Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter loves her other Little Leaps games, but this one is a dud. Maybe it's just her, but she prefers the interactive puppets versus the cartoons. Not only that, but there are fewer games on this one than the other puppet type games.
If you already have the others, then you may want this one to add to your collection.
If you don't have others, I'd recommend the LeapFrog Little Leaps' Play & Move instead.

Zanzoon Animap - Interactive Talking Animals of the World Map Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Maybe kids 20 years ago might have found this interesting for a little while. However, both technology and expectations have advanced well beyond this product. There's a lot wrong with it and very little that's right. To begin with it's very poorly built. Both the map and the electronics unit are flimsy plastic. The printing is at best adequate. The sound quality is terrible.
There are a lot of issues with the "games" as well. The questions are a boring series of monotones asking either "Can you find..." or "Can you show me...". If you press the wrong spot on the map you "rewarded" with a "waa, waa, waa". There is no mechanism to correct, educate, or provide further evaluation. If you don't answer in time (with the amount of time allowed fixed) this thing says either, "speed it up next time" or "too slow little explorer." Geography questions are limited to the oceans and continents.
This won't hold a child's interest for more than a few minutes. That's a good thing because it probably wouldn't last must longer than that anyway.
BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've gotten from other reviewers and continue to return the favor as best as I can. If you thought this review was helpful please let me know by clicking on "Yes" button where it asks. If there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I'll do what I can to fix it.
