Toss Up Review

We taught our 4 year old so that we could play together as a family and he loves it! He plays simply, but, just understanding that a green die is good and a red die is not works for him. He often beats his ten year old brother who keeps the score. It's simple. You can take it anywhere. There's a little math with the scorekeeping and a little strategy for the older kids. I marked down the durability of this toy only because keeping track of all the dice seems to be a challenge at our house.

It's a little strategy, a lot of luck, and a whole bunch of dice-tossin' fun in this new and addictive game. The object of the game is to be the player with the highest score over 100, which you rack up by throwing the dice and counting up the greens. As long as you roll greens you can continue to play and rack up points. But, just like a traffic light, you need to watch out for those red dice or your turn will stop and you'll lose all of your points. So who will win the game? It's a toss up! Game contains 10 Toss Up! dice, a reusable plastic storage click-case and instructions in both English and Spanish. For 2 - 6 players.

The games here are great, we bought the set of 3. Mostly we just play Bananagrams, but do like the other games as well.

The fruit word game assortment includes Bananagrams, Appletters, and Pairs in Pears. Great word games for kids of all ages. * Appletters is a domino-like game for ages six and up where players connect letters instead of dots. * Banangrams is a scrabble-like game but without the board. Using a selection of 144 plastic letter tiles, each player works independently to create their own 'crossword'. When a player uses up all their letters, all players take a new tile from the pool. When all the tiles are gone, the first player to use up all the tiles in their hand wins. * Pairs in Pears is a portable, compact spelling game. Inside a pear-shaped pouch are letter tiles featuring various designs (dots, lines, blank and solid). A fun way for children to develop memory and cognitive skills while learning alphabetical order, word construction, consonants, and vowels, vocabulary, rhyming, etc.
