(More customer reviews)I bought this kit for a friend's nine-year old, since she likes making the regular knotted bracelets so much. She couldn't wait to tear into it! The measurements at the side of the directions page are handy- the only thing you need that's not in the kit is a scissor. The only problem we really had was starting the pattern, physically. It's very clear-cut and the color-coding is very easy to follow, but holding the wheel, the knot, and still having a free hand to separate the strands nicely while keeping the knot in the center of the wheel is a bit of a trick- I ended up holding the wheel and the knot for her the first time so she could move the strands. After that, it is a breeze- just a few simple steps, repeated. Overall, I'm giving it four stars since I can't vouch for how well it holds up, I don't know how "educational" it would be past developing coordination skills, and the fumbling it took to start, which I'm sure gets easier with time. Otherwise, it's great- she gets to create friendship bracelets that are very different from the ones her friends make!
