(More customer reviews)I bought this for my three year old grandson's birthday and he was elated since he is obsessed with trains. The base with the geographic layout is in pleasing colors and is not too busy. Setting the set up took a bit of effort (which would have been easier if the map of the layout indicated where the trestles should be placed). I used a permanent marker on the connecting edge of each track piece to indicate which code was used on the set-up map to facilitate reassembling should we need to move the train table. Our family checked out several different train table sets online and in toy stores. This by far had the most appeal and seems to be well made. And the price is right! This is a gift that will give pleasure for several years to come.
